A/Prof Vagish Singh
MBBS, FRACP, FCSANZ
A/Prof Vagish Singh is a consultant cardiologist with more than three decades of experience serving Brisbane’s southside community. He is an Associate Professor at The University of Queensland.
A/Prof Singh completed his cardiology training at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and The Prince Charles Hospital, followed by advanced training in the United States in cardiac pacing, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) and CT coronary angiography.
His clinical interests include echocardiography, stress echocardiography, CT coronary angiography, cardiac pacing, the management of heart failure including implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) and cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRT) and conduction system pacing, and comprehensive cardiovascular assessment. Dr Singh has played a significant role in the development of local cardiac diagnostic services and remains committed to providing thorough, patient-centred cardiovascular care.
Prof David Colquhoun
MBBS, FRACP, FCANZ
David Colquhoun is an Associate Professor with the University of Queensland and a cardiologist who works in private practice in Queensland. With a career spanning 40 years, he has been involved in clinical practice and research in the fields of cardiology, lipids, nutrition, diabetes, obesity, nutraceutical and psychological aspects of heart disease.
He has a private clinical research unit (Core Research) currently active in 16 clinical trials and is Australian lead investigator in two trials. A/Prof Colquhoun is the AMA spokesperson for Cardiology in Queensland. He has published over 80 scientific papers with over 6,800 citations, given over 300 scientific and public talks and educational seminars nationally and internationally as invited speaker, has sat on over 80 advisory committees including the National Heart Foundation of Australia and the NHMRC Nutrient Reference Values working party, and is regularly called on to give media interviews.
He is currently a Board member of the National Heart Foundation in Queensland, a member of the Scientific Committee of the National Institute of Complementary Medicine, a member of the Scientific Committee of the Gallipoli Research Foundation based at Greenslopes Private Hospital, and Chair of the Preventive Cardiology Council of the Australian Cardiac Society. These positions with major relevant government organisations put him in a strong position to facilitate communication and policy translation of this work to key stakeholders.

Dr Suhasini Singh
MBBS, FRACP, FCANZ
Dr Suhasini Singh is a consultant cardiologist specialising in general cardiology and advanced cardiac imaging. She graduated in Medicine from the University of Melbourne before completing cardiology training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital. She subsequently undertook fellowship training in cardiac imaging at Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Dr Singh provides comprehensive, evidence-based care across a broad range of cardiovascular conditions, with particular expertise in advanced cardiac imaging to support accurate diagnosis, risk assessment and personalised treatment. She takes a thoughtful and patient-centred approach to care, combining clinical expertise with clear communication and a focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for each patient.
In addition to her private practice, Dr Singh holds a public appointment at QEII Hospital, where she is actively involved in the teaching of medical students and mentoring junior doctors. She is committed to ongoing education and to contributing to the development of the next generation of medical professionals.
